Producing images for a brand new model can be challenging. Meticulous planning and attention to detail is required to create the kind of visual tonality that showcases the new product in the best possible way. Together with Gothenburg advertising agency Stendahls, we were given just such a task – the production of 19 location still images for the launch of the new Volvo XC60.
For this project to succeed, we had to devise an approach that reflected the dynamic, design-conscious feel of the product as well as its combination of power and grace. We believe we achieved this, creating a series of images characterised by subtle, futuristic styling in classic Scandinavian light.
In this environment, the combination of sleek lines and natural materials in the product design together with modernist architecture and a combination of man-made and natural landscapes strengthen the utopian feeling of the images.
