We worked together with Stendahls and This is Made to produce images for the launch of the new Volvo XC40. Aimed towards young, style-conscious individuals, the car needed be shown in a way where it integrated seamlessly into urban life, yet deliver on the premium experience the brand communicates.
To produce images for premium products is as challenging as it is rewarding, and aiming to communicate excellent user experience only multiplies this. Together with Gothenburg advertising agency Stendahls and production company This is Made, we worked hard on creating the 52 location still images needed to position the new Volvo XC40 in this way. The outcome can be seen in social media, on the web, on billboards, in catalogs, and virtually any other contact surface Volvo uses to communicate it’s cars.
The aim towards young, style-conscious individuals meant that we needed to approach the way we worked on presenting the car slightly differently, making sure to give visual space for the expression of the talents and the surroundings, yet making the product come across with a subtle luxury suitable for the premium cars Volvo makes today.
